Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3 sets the stage for your epic journey, introducing you to the world, its inhabitants, and the central conflict of the Mind Flayer parasite. This act is characterized by exploration, survival, and the formation of your initial party as you seek a cure and uncover the secrets of the Absolute.

Your journey begins on the Nautiloid, followed by the crash site. From there, you'll find yourself in the wilderness of the Sword Coast. Key early objectives include finding a cure for the parasite, which often leads you to the Emerald Grove and its surrounding areas. You'll encounter various factions, including Goblins, Tieflings, and Druids, each with their own quests and motivations.

Major areas and quests in Act 1:

• The Crash Site: Your starting point, where you meet your first companions and learn about the parasite.
• The Emerald Grove: A sanctuary for Tieflings and Druids, facing threats from Goblins.
