The "Save the Refugees" quest focuses on assisting the tiefling refugees. This quest can lead to various rewards, including unique gear, depending on your choices and successful completion of related tasks.
Beginning the Quest
The quest begins at the Ravaged Beach, where you will encounter Shadowheart unconscious at X:271 Y:217. Interacting with her presents three dialogue options.
Key Objectives and Related Quests
- Investigate Kagha: Completing this quest by persuading and sparing Kagha before "Rescue the Druid Halsin" can reward you with the Pale Oak staff (if you are a druid).
- Save the Goblin Sazza: Escorting Sazza to the Goblin Camp rewards you for completing this quest.
- Rescue Counsellor Florrick: During the quest "Rescue the Grand Duke," saving Counsellor Florrick from the burning inn at Waukeen's Rest allows her to offer a choice of three items: The Sparky Points, The Joltshooter, or The Spellsparkler.
Rewards and Notable Items
- Helmet: Zevlor gives this to you as thanks for helping the tiefling refugees during "Save the Refugees," provided you accept the monetary reward.
- Pale Oak: Awarded for completing "Investigate Kagha" by persuading and sparing Kagha, but only if you are a druid. This must be done before "Rescue the Druid Halsin."
- The Sparky Points, The Joltshooter, The Spellsparkler: Choose one of these items as a reward from Counsellor Florrick after rescuing her.
- Hide and Seek Quest Reward: Obtained from Oliver in the House with Flowers in the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Can also be acquired by knocking him out or pickpocketing him during a tactical turn-based encounter before he vanishes, or if you can see invisible creatures.
- Gilded Chest Loot: Found in the southeast portion of the Ruined Battlefield (X: 80 Y: -96), near Shadow-Cursed Needle Blights and Shadow-Cursed Vine Blights.
- Strange Ox Loot: Can be looted from the Strange Ox in the Druid Grove or at Dammon's blacksmith in the Last Light Inn. Killing the Strange Ox prevents completion of the "Help the Devilish Ox" quest.
