Assigning professions efficiently is key to your town's survival. Every adult citizen can be assigned to a specific job (e.g., Farmer, Miner, Builder, Teacher) or remain a Laborer. Laborers are versatile; they clear resources, transport goods, and construct buildings. Always keep a small pool of unassigned laborers for flexibility.
The 'Profession' tab allows you to see how many workers are assigned to each job and how many are available. Adjust these numbers based on your current needs. For example, during planting season, you might temporarily assign more laborers to farming. During winter, you might shift workers to mining or woodcutting. Educated workers are more efficient in all professions, so prioritize schooling.
