Strategic building placement is paramount. Gatherer's Huts are most efficient when placed in dense, old-growth forests, away from other buildings that clear trees. Hunter's Cabins also benefit from dense forests. Foresters should be placed near these, but with their work circle overlapping only slightly with the gatherers to ensure a continuous supply of mature trees.
Fishing Docks are best on large bodies of water, especially where two water tiles meet (like a river bend or lake inlet) for maximum fish yield. Storage Barns and Stock Piles should be placed centrally within their respective production zones to minimize worker travel time. Houses should be close to workplaces and services like Markets and Wells.
