Location: The Melting Pot
The Pythons' Nest is a stationary boss that continuously spawns Pythons, making it a test of crowd management and sustained damage.
Phases & Attacks:
- Nest Slam: The central nest will occasionally slam the ground, creating a small area-of-effect shockwave.
- Python Spawns: The nest constantly spawns Pythons, which spit fireballs and can overwhelm you if not dealt with.
Strategy:
Your main objective is to destroy the central Pythons' Nest. It has a large health pool, so sustained damage is key. However, you cannot ignore the constantly spawning Pythons. Use area-of-effect weapons and Secret Skills to clear out groups of Pythons while still focusing damage on the nest.
Keep moving to avoid the Pythons' fireballs and the nest's ground slam. The Fire Bellows weapon is highly effective here due to its area damage and fire status effect. Secret Skills like Calamity Cannon or Smash Stomp can quickly clear waves of Pythons, giving you breathing room to attack the nest. Prioritize clearing Pythons when they become too numerous, then return your focus to the nest. Health Tonics are crucial for surviving the sustained damage.
Recommended Loadout:
- Weapons: Fire Bellows (for crowd control/nest damage) & Mortar (for ranged area damage). Or Gatling Gun (for sustained nest damage) & War Machete (for quick Python clears).
- Secret Skill: Calamity Cannon (for burst Python clear) or Bellow (for crowd control).
