Fragments are the primary currency in Bastion, dropped by defeated enemies and found in destructible objects. They are used to purchase weapon upgrades, Secret Skill upgrades, and items at the Lost-and-Found.
Crafting Materials are rarer resources used in conjunction with Fragments to perform weapon and Secret Skill upgrades. There are several types of crafting materials, each associated with different upgrade paths:
- Black Kyanite: Used for general weapon upgrades.
- Sparkling Ash: Used for Secret Skill upgrades.
- Lost-and-Found Items: Specific unique items found in levels that unlock new weapons or Secret Skills when brought back to the Bastion.
Always collect as many Fragments and crafting materials as you can. Replaying levels with Idols active is an excellent way to farm these resources. Prioritize upgrading your most frequently used weapons and Secret Skills first.
