Encounter Activation

This side mission, "A Tea Party to Die For," begins when Batman investigates a glowing hat icon on his map, usually found in the Industrial District. Upon entering the designated area and interacting with the tea, Batman will be drugged, initiating the hallucination.

The Hallucinatory Fight

Once the hallucination begins, Batman will find himself in a distorted environment, facing an endless wave of "goons" – seemingly generic thugs. The key to this encounter is understanding that directly defeating all the goons is impossible and will not progress the fight. Instead, your focus must be on the Mad Hatter himself.

  1. Initial Goon Waves: You'll be surrounded by several goons. Engage them in combat as you normally would, using your standard attacks, counters, and gadgets. However, do not get bogged down trying to clear the room.
  2. Mad Hatter's Appearance: Periodically, the Mad Hatter will appear on a large, prominent clock face in the environment. This is your window of opportunity.
  3. Targeting the Hatter: As soon as the Mad Hatter appears on the clock, immediately disengage from the goons and use your Batarang to hit him. You will need to hit him multiple times during each appearance.
  4. Repeating the Cycle: After hitting the Mad Hatter, he will disappear, and the goons will continue to attack. Repeat steps 1-3. The Mad Hatter will reappear on the clock face a total of three times, requiring multiple Batarang hits each time.
  5. Final Strike: After successfully hitting the Mad Hatter during his third appearance, he will reappear one final time. This last appearance will be your opportunity to deliver the decisive blow. Hit him with a Batarang one more time to break the hallucination.
