Threat Assessment:
An 'ace pilot' is an enemy player who consistently dominates the skies, racking up kills and preventing your team from using air assets or providing ground support. They can single-handedly turn the tide of a battle by destroying your bombers, strafing infantry, or sinking ships.

Strategy:
- Dedicated Fighter Pilots: Assign one or more skilled fighter pilots to specifically engage and neutralize the ace. Focus on teamwork: one can distract while the other gets on their tail.
- Anti-Air Emplacements: Man all available anti-air guns on the ground. Coordinate fire to create a 'flak wall' that the ace must avoid or fly through. Engineers should prioritize repairing these guns.
- Heavy Machine Guns (Infantry): While less effective, concentrated fire from multiple infantry with heavy machine guns (e.g., BAR, MG42 on vehicles) can damage or deter an ace pilot, especially if they are strafing low.
- Vehicle-Mounted Anti-Air: Utilize vehicles with anti-air capabilities, such as some APCs or dedicated anti-air vehicles (if present in mods).
- Strategic Retreat/Avoidance: If direct engagement is too risky, avoid areas where the ace is active. Use cover and wait for opportunities when they are distracted or reloading.
Key Weaknesses:
- Can be overwhelmed by multiple coordinated fighters.
- Vulnerable to concentrated anti-air fire.
- Must eventually land to rearm/repair, providing a window of opportunity.
Dealing with an ace pilot requires a team effort. Don't try to take them on alone unless you are equally skilled. Focus on denying them targets and making the skies too dangerous for them to operate effectively. Communication between ground and air units is vital for tracking their movements and coordinating defenses.
