Beyond the hidden dog tags, Battlefield 4 features a wide array of collectible weapons scattered throughout the campaign. Unlike standard enemy drops, these specific weapons are unique pickups that, once acquired, are permanently unlocked in your arsenal. After picking up a collectible weapon, it becomes available for selection at any Weapon Crate found throughout the current mission and in the loadout secondary menu for all subsequent missions.
Notable Campaign Weapon Locations:
- SCAR-H SV: Found in 'Baku'. After the construction site collapse, look for it on the scaffolding near the second floor of the destroyed building.
- M1911: Located in 'Shanghai'. Found in a small room near the elevator bank before reaching the hobby theater area.
- M240B: Located in 'Shanghai'. In the park area near the parking garage, look for this LMG on the rooftop of a small shack.
- M249: Found in 'South China Sea'. Located in the flooded wreckage of the USS Titan, sitting on a table in the infirmary.
- QBS-09: Found in 'South China Sea'. Near the beginning of the mission, look for it in a locker inside the medical bay area of the Valkyrie.
- M416: Found in 'Tashgar'. Located inside the small house directly across from the park where the main tank battle occurs.
- P90: Found in 'Tashgar'. When you reach the high-value target at the extraction point, check the crates near the helipad.
- M98B: Found in 'Suez'. Located on the deck of the Valkyrie, specifically on a pedestal near the flight deck's edge during the final push.
Always keep an eye out for glowing weapon icons on your HUD; these indicate a collectible weapon that you have not yet added to your permanent loadout options.
