The campaign begins with a bang in Baku, Azerbaijan. As Irish, Pac, and Dunn, you'll navigate a construction site under heavy fire to recover vital intel. This mission serves as a tutorial for core mechanics, introducing the Engage command and the Tactical Visor. Success depends on utilizing your squadmates' suppressing fire while you flank enemy positions through the multi-level industrial ruins.

Beginner Survival Tips
- Practice Target Acquisition: Use the first few encounters to get a feel for weapon recoil. Aim for the head, as enemies in BF4 can be bullet-sponges on higher difficulties.
- Master the Tactical Visor: Before entering a new room or clearing the courtyard, use your visor (default Q/RB/R1) to tag enemies. Tagged enemies stay visible on your HUD, making them much easier to track through dust and debris.
- Use Cover Effectively: Battlefield 4 features a "lean" mechanic. Stand near a corner or edge; when your weapon tilts slightly, aiming down sights will cause you to peek out automatically, minimizing your exposure.
- Listen for Squad Prompts: Your squadmates will call out enemy locations (e.g., "Second floor balcony!"). These audio cues are often faster than your radar for pinpointing threats during the chaotic factory escape.
- The Engage Command: Don't try to be a lone wolf. Look at a group of enemies and press the spot button to order Tombstone to lay down suppressive fire. This forces enemies into cover, allowing you to move up safely.
