Movement & Positioning:

  • Slide Canceling: While sprinting, press crouch to slide, then immediately press jump to cancel the slide and maintain momentum. Useful for quickly traversing open areas or dodging incoming fire.
  • Peeker's Advantage: When rounding a corner, quickly peek out and fire, then return to cover. Due to network latency, you'll often see the enemy before they fully see you.
  • High Ground: Always seek higher ground. It provides a tactical advantage, better visibility, and often better cover.
  • Flanking: Don't always take the direct route. Use the map's layout to flank enemies, catching them off guard.

Gunplay & Aiming:

  • Burst Firing: For most automatic weapons, firing in short bursts (2-4 rounds) significantly improves accuracy, especially at medium to long range.
  • Recoil Control: Learn the recoil pattern of your favorite weapons and compensate by gently pulling your mouse/stick in the opposite direction.
  • Headshots: Always aim for the head. Headshots deal significantly more damage and are often one-shot kills, even with weaker weapons.
  • Pre-Aiming: Anticipate enemy positions and pre-aim your crosshair at head height before rounding corners or entering rooms.

Gadget & Environmental Use:

  • Environmental Kills: Look for explosive barrels, gas tanks, or unstable structures that can be shot to take out groups of enemies.
  • Grappling Hook/Zip Line Mastery: In multiplayer, use these gadgets to access unexpected routes, flank enemies, or quickly escape dangerous situations.
  • Taser/Stun Grenade: In the campaign, these are invaluable for non-lethal takedowns of Warrant Suspects. In multiplayer, they can disorient enemies for easy kills.

Practice these techniques regularly. The Firing Range is a great place to hone your recoil control and aim, while low-stakes multiplayer modes can help you practice movement and positioning.
