Advanced Strategies, Hidden Mechanics & Easter Eggs

To move beyond the basics and dominate the battlefield, you must master the game's deeper systems. Use these professional tips and hidden secrets to gain a competitive edge.

Combat Strategies & Hidden Mechanics

  • Manual Leaning: You can manually lean around cover without the auto-lean prompt. While aiming down sights (ADS), click the melee button (R3/RS/V) to toggle your lean direction, allowing for tighter angles.
  • Crouch Sprinting: Always crouch sprint to maintain a lower profile and reduce your sound footprint while moving at high speeds. This also makes you a smaller target for snipers.
  • Backwards Prone: If you are knocked down or go prone while moving backward, you will lie on your back. This allows you to fire with full accuracy while remaining low to the ground, providing a unique defensive fire position.
  • Explosion Deflection: You can shoot enemy grenades out of the air or "toss" them back. More importantly, you can shoot a friendly Dynamite or AT Mine mid-air to create a remote detonation.

Class-Specific Tricks

  • Assault (The Vehicle Buster): Place Anti-Tank Mines directly behind the tracks of a stationary tank. If the driver reverses, they trigger an instant disable. If they don't move, throw an Anti-Tank Bundle Grenade at the mines for a massive chain reaction.
  • Medic (Smoke Meta): Smoke is your most powerful weapon. Use Smoke Grenade Rifles to "blind" enemy tanks or snipers, not just to cover revives. An enemy that cannot see cannot shoot.
  • Support (Toolbox Utility): Your repair tool can destroy enemy fortifications and even damage enemy vehicles. Use it to dismantle an enemy's "Fortification" cover to leave them exposed.
  • Recon (Spawn Beacons): Place Spawn Beacons in elevated, hidden areas. To maximize their life, place them indoors or under cover so they aren't spotted by passing planes or flares.

Vehicle Tips

  • Angle Your Armor: When playing as a Tanker, never face your sides or rear to the enemy. Angle your chassis at roughly 45 degrees to the incoming fire to increase the chance of a "Ricochet" (0 damage).
  • Emergency Repair Delay: Do not use your Emergency Repair immediately. Wait until a critical part (tracks, turret, engine) is disabled, as the repair instantly fixes these components.
  • Pilot Resupply: Airplanes must fly through the white "Resupply Icons" located near home bases to replenish ammunition and bombs. Use these loops to coordinate continuous bombing runs.

Map Secrets & Easter Eggs

  • The "Finger Gun" (Handgun): On many maps (like Hamada or Twisted Steel), a rare "Dig Site" can appear. If you interact with it at the right time, you can equip the "Handgun"—a literal finger gun that deals massive damage and has a unique "Bang!" animation.
  • The Gnome of Arras: In the village of Arras, destroying specific houses can reveal a creepy garden gnome that will follow you around the map (only you can see him). If you shoot him, he disappears, but he may reappear later.
  • Phone Interactions: Hidden phones are scattered across various maps. Listening to these phones is part of a larger community "Easter Egg Hunt" that involves Morse code and coordinates, often hinting at upcoming content or historical lore.
