Stealth, survival, and tactical precision are paramount. Prepare to navigate treacherous terrain, outwit formidable German forces, and master the art of silent warfare.

Mission Objective: Locate and Rescue Mother

Your primary objective is clear: find and free your mother, Astrid. The journey will be fraught with danger, but with careful planning and execution, success is within reach.

Phase 1: Infiltration and Initial Reconnaissance

You begin deep within the snowy wilderness. The biting cold is as much an enemy as the German patrols. Your initial spawn point places you near a small, frozen stream. Immediately, you'll want to orient yourself. The objective marker will guide you generally north-east towards a German encampment.

• Environmental Cover: Utilize the dense pine forests and deep snowdrifts for concealment. Moving through tall snow will slow you down but offers excellent cover from distant sightlines.
• Stealth is Key: Direct confrontation is a death sentence early on. Your primary weapon for this phase is your combat knife. Practice silent takedowns (approach from behind, press the melee button).
• Enemy Patrols: Expect small patrols of 2-3 German soldiers. They often follow predictable routes. Observe their patterns before engaging.
• First Aid: Keep an eye out for small wooden crates containing bandages. You start with a limited supply.

As you approach the first German outpost, you'll notice a small watchtower and a few tents. A lone sentry often patrols the perimeter. This is an excellent opportunity to practice your stealth takedowns. Eliminate him silently, then proceed to scout the area.

Phase 2: Navigating the German Outpost

The first significant challenge is a moderately sized German outpost. It features several tents, a supply depot, and a central campfire. More importantly, it holds crucial information regarding your mother's whereabouts.

Recommended Loadout:

• Primary Weapon: Krag-Jørgensen (Suppressed) - Excellent for long-range silent eliminations.
• Secondary Weapon: P38 Pistol (Suppressed) - Good for close-quarters stealth.
• Gadget: Throwing Knives - Silent, one-shot kills on unarmored enemies.

Strategy for the Outpost:

1. Perimeter Sweep: Circle the outpost, staying low and using the tree line for cover. Identify all enemy positions and patrol routes. There are typically 4-6 soldiers here, including one heavy trooper.
2. Distractions: If direct engagement is unavoidable or you need to draw attention, shoot environmental objects like hanging lanterns or explosive barrels (from a safe distance). This will create noise, drawing enemies away from your intended path.
3. Target Prioritization:
   • Snipers/Spotters: Eliminate these first if present in elevated positions.

• Warmth Sources: Look for campfires or abandoned shelters. Standing near a fire will rapidly warm you up and prevent health loss from the cold. There are usually 2-3 such locations along this path.
• Reduced Visibility: Use the blizzard to your advantage. Enemy sightlines are drastically cut, allowing for more aggressive stealth maneuvers. However, be mindful that they can still hear you.
• Enemy Reinforcements: Expect small, disoriented patrols struggling through the snow. They are often easier to pick off silently.

Common Pitfalls and Missables:

• Rushing: The blizzard can make you feel safe, but rushing can lead to accidental encounters with patrols you didn't see.
• Ignoring the Cold: Don't underestimate the environmental hazard. Letting your health drop too low from the cold can leave you vulnerable to even a single enemy shot.
• Missing Supply Caches: The limited visibility can cause you to overlook crucial supply points. Keep an eye out for flickering lights or small structures that might indicate a cache or warmth source.

Phase 4: The Prison Camp Approach

The blizzard will eventually subside as you approach the final destination: a heavily fortified German prison camp, likely where your mother is being held. This area is much larger and more densely patrolled than previous sections.

Key Features of the Prison Camp:

• Watchtowers: Multiple watchtowers with snipers or machine gunners. Prioritize these targets.
• Searchlights: Powerful searchlights sweep the area. Avoid their beams, as they will instantly alert nearby guards.
