Directive 2: The New Tenant and the Propaganda
Directive 2 introduces a new tenant, Albert Meineke, and a critical task related to the dissemination of state propaganda. Your objective is to ensure the new propaganda posters are displayed prominently, replacing any old or unauthorized materials. This directive tests your ability to manipulate the environment and influence public perception.
- New Tenant: Albert Meineke: Albert Meineke moves into apartment 1. He is a seemingly ordinary citizen, but his apartment is the focus of this directive.
- The Propaganda Task: The Ministry issues Directive 2, requiring the display of new propaganda posters. You will receive a supply of these posters.
- Steps to Complete Directive 2:
- Acquire New Posters: The Ministry will provide you with the new propaganda posters. Check your mailbox or receive them directly from a Ministry official.
- Locate Old Posters: Albert Meineke's apartment (apartment 1) will likely contain outdated or unauthorized posters. You need to identify and remove these. They are usually found on walls.
- Replace Posters: Enter Albert Meineke's apartment. You can do this by picking the lock if he's not home, or by gaining his trust to get a key. Once inside, interact with the old posters to remove them. Then, interact with the empty spots or designated areas to place the new Ministry-approved propaganda posters.
- Report Completion: Once all old posters are removed and new ones are displayed in apartment 1, return to your desk and report the completion of Directive 2 to the Ministry.
- Considerations:
- Tenant Presence: Albert Meineke will react negatively if he catches you in his apartment without permission. Try to perform the poster replacement when he is out.
- Trust vs. Force: You can try to befriend Albert Meineke to gain access to his apartment legitimately, or you can pick the lock. Picking the lock is faster but carries the risk of being caught.
- Consequences: Failing to complete Directive 2 within the allotted time will result in a penalty from the Ministry.
