To drain the ink, you need to activate four ink flow switches located throughout the Music Department. Each switch is associated with a specific instrument or piece of equipment. You'll need to find and activate them in a specific order, or at least ensure all are active before proceeding. The switches are:
- Drums: Located in the main recording studio, near the drum set.
- Piano: In a smaller recording booth, next to the piano.
- Bass: In another recording booth, near the bass guitar.
- Projector: In a small projection room overlooking the main studio.
As you activate each switch, you'll hear a distinct sound. After activating all four, return to the main control room in the Music Department. You'll find a large lever labeled 'Ink Flow'. Pull this lever to drain the ink from the lower levels, opening up new paths. Be aware that activating these switches may trigger the appearance of more Searchers, so be ready to defend yourself or run. The order of activation for the switches doesn't strictly matter, as long as all four are engaged before you pull the main ink flow lever.
