Melee Weapons
  • Axe: The most common and reliable weapon. You first acquire it in Chapter 2 after Sammy Lawrence's defeat. It's effective against Searchers and the Butcher Gang. It can also be used to break wooden planks blocking paths.
  • Pipe: A basic, early-game weapon. Less powerful than the axe but still effective against Searchers. Often found in utility areas.
  • Wrench: Similar to the pipe in effectiveness. Sometimes used as a puzzle item before becoming a weapon.
  • Plunger: A comedic but surprisingly effective weapon against weaker enemies.
  • Gentle Axe: A more powerful version of the axe, found later in the game. It deals more damage and has better durability.

Always be on the lookout for new weapons, especially if your current one is nearing its breaking point. While combat is often avoidable, having a weapon is essential for clearing paths and defending yourself when escape isn't an option. Remember that weapons have a limited number of uses before they break, so don't waste swings on non-hostile objects.
