Encounter:
Sammy Lawrence is the first true 'boss' you encounter, though his defeat is not directly by your hand. He appears in Chapter 2 after you've drained the ink from the Music Department. He captures Henry, ties him to a pole, and attempts to sacrifice him to Bendy.

Phases & Strategy:
- Capture & Monologue: Henry is helpless during this phase. Sammy will deliver a chilling monologue about his devotion to Bendy. There is no action you can take here.
- Bendy's Intervention: The Ink Demon (Bendy) will appear and, instead of accepting the sacrifice, will attack and seemingly kill Sammy. This is your cue to act.
- Escape & Weapon Acquisition: After Bendy dispatches Sammy, the ropes binding Henry will loosen. Interact with them to free yourself. Immediately grab the Axe that Sammy dropped nearby. This is your reward and essential for the rest of the chapter.
Weaknesses:
Sammy himself has no direct weaknesses for Henry to exploit, as you are not meant to fight him. His weakness is his blind devotion to Bendy, which ultimately leads to his demise.
Rewards:
- Axe: Your first reliable melee weapon, crucial for fighting Searchers and breaking planks.
- Progression: Unlocks the path forward in Chapter 2.
- Lore: Deepens the understanding of Sammy's madness and Bendy's unpredictable nature.
This encounter is more of a narrative event than a traditional boss fight, designed to introduce the unpredictable nature of the Ink Demon and provide Henry with his first proper weapon.
