Finding the Ticket

Your objective is to locate the necessary ticket to proceed further into the Atlantic Express. This section details the precise steps and strategies to acquire it, navigating through the immediate threats and environmental puzzles.

Initial Exploration and Security Measures

  • Upon entering the main area of the Atlantic Express, you'll immediately notice a Security Camera positioned above the entrance to the Ticket Booth. This camera is active and will alert security bots if you are detected.
  • Strategy: Prioritize hacking the Security Camera. Use your Hacking Tool from a safe distance, ideally from behind the pillar directly opposite the camera. A successful hack will turn the camera friendly, turning any security bots it spawns against your enemies.
  • After securing the camera, proceed cautiously. There are likely to be several Splicers patrolling the area around the Ticket Booth. Engage them using your preferred weapon and plasmid combination. Consider using Incinerate! to flush out any Splicers hiding behind cover.

Accessing the Ticket Booth

The Ticket Booth itself is locked, requiring a specific key or access method. The ticket you need is located within, but getting inside is the primary challenge.

  • Locating the Keypad: Directly to the right of the Ticket Booth's entrance, you'll find a keypad. This keypad requires a specific code to unlock the door.
  • Finding the Code: The code for the keypad is not immediately obvious. You'll need to search the surrounding area for clues.
    • Head to the small office area located to the left of the Ticket Booth (when facing it). This office is usually guarded by at least one Splicer.
    • Inside this office, on a desk or wall, you will find an Audio Diary. Listen to this Audio Diary carefully. It contains a conversation where the code is mentioned or implied.
    • The Code: The code is 0451. (Note: While the exact code can sometimes vary slightly in playthroughs, 0451 is a common BioShock Easter egg and a reliable code for this section.)
  • Entering the Code: Return to the keypad beside the Ticket Booth door and input the code 0451. The door will unlock, granting you access.

Retrieving the Ticket

Once inside the Ticket Booth, the final step is straightforward.

  • Enter the Ticket Booth. Be prepared for a potential lone Splicer who might have been hiding inside, though this is less common.
  • On the counter or a small desk within the booth, you will find the Atlantic Express Ticket. Interact with it to pick it up.
  • With the ticket in hand, your objective will update, directing you towards the train platform.

Before leaving the Ticket Booth area, ensure you've thoroughly looted all containers and defeated any remaining Splicers. There are often valuable supplies, including EVE Hypos and First Aid Kits, scattered throughout this section.
