After the initial chaos, your primary objective is to find a way out of the Atlantic Express and deeper into Rapture. This section will guide you through the necessary steps, item acquisitions, and combat encounters.

Navigating the Flooded Corridors

  1. Proceed through the initial flooded area: Once you gain control, move forward. You'll encounter your first few Splicers. Remember to use your Drill for close-quarters combat and the Rivet Gun for ranged engagements.
  2. Locate the Security Booth: Your path will lead you to a security booth. Inside, you'll find a Hacking Tool. This is crucial for bypassing security systems and turrets.
  3. Hack the Security Turret: Immediately outside the booth, there's a hostile Security Turret. Use your newly acquired Hacking Tool to turn it to your side. This will provide valuable cover against incoming Splicers.
  4. Collect Supplies: Explore the surrounding area thoroughly. Look for vending machines (Circus of Values and Gatherer's Garden) and scattered containers. You'll need to stock up on Rivet Gun Ammo, First Aid Kits, and EVE Hypos.

Reaching the Ticket Booth

Your next major waypoint is the Ticket Booth, which serves as the exit from this section of the Atlantic Express.

  1. Clear the Main Hall: As you approach the main hall leading to the Ticket Booth, be prepared for a larger Splicer ambush. use your hacked turret and environmental hazards (like oil slicks combined with Incinerate!) to your advantage.
  2. Find the Ticket Booth Key: The Ticket Booth itself will be locked. You'll need to locate the Ticket Booth Key. This key is typically found on a deceased passenger or Splicer in a side room or alcove near the booth. Keep an eye out for glowing items.
  3. Unlock and Enter the Ticket Booth: Once you have the key, unlock the Ticket Booth. Inside, you'll often find an Audio Diary providing lore, and more valuable supplies.

Activating the Train

With the Ticket Booth secured, your final task in this area is to activate the train to proceed.

  1. Locate the Train Controls: The train controls are situated within the Ticket Booth or an adjacent control room. Interact with them to initiate the sequence.
  2. Defend Against the Onslaught: Activating the train will trigger a timed defense sequence. Multiple waves of Splicers will attack your position.
    • Strategic Placement: Position yourself near the hacked turret or set up traps using the Trap Rivet (if you've found the upgrade) to funnel enemies.
    • Conserve Resources: Use your most powerful weapons and Plasmids judiciously. Prioritize headshots with the Rivet Gun.
    • Monitor Health and EVE: Don't hesitate to use First Aid Kits and EVE Hypos when necessary. There are usually some scattered around the defense area.
  3. Board the Train: Once the defense sequence is complete and the train is ready, board it to exit the Atlantic Express and continue your journey into the Adonis Luxury Resort.
