Back Hills Exploration
The Back Hills offer a chance to explore off the main path, revealing hidden items and lore. After activating the shrine and receiving guidance from the Keeper, you'll encounter new enemy types. This area emphasizes exploration, rewarding players who venture off the beaten track with valuable resources and insights into the world of Black Myth: Wukong. Be prepared for ambushes and environmental challenges as you navigate the rugged terrain.
Following the main path after the shrine, you'll face a Wolf Swordsworn and a Wolf Soldier with a shield. The shield deflects attacks, so perfect dodges are crucial for creating openings. Continue across the bridge to face another Wolf Soldier. In a more open area, explore the left side to find a Wolf Stalwart guarding a Purple Lingzhi mushroom. The path then splits: the left leads to a stream, the right to a mini-boss. Take the left path first, encountering a Wolf Swordsworn and a Gentian plant. Further down the stream, a Rat Guai will flee, leaving behind the Skandha of Form key item near a stone head.
