As Sun Wukong, you will immediately face Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. This is a tutorial fight where you have no health bar, allowing you to practice combat without penalty. Erlang uses straightforward spear techniques, including sweeping and thrusting attacks. He often slows down, providing opportunities to practice dodging.
- Phase 1: Focus on learning to dodge his sweeping and thrusting spear attacks. There is no dedicated block button, so timing dodges, especially last-second dodges, is crucial.
- Phase 2: After depleting about a quarter of his health, Erlang will leap into the air and ambush you. His speed will increase, and he will start blocking your attacks. Incorporate heavy attacks into your combos during this phase.
- Phase 3: When Erlang's health drops below half, a brief cutscene triggers. He will begin using divine power to unleash projectiles. Dodge these projectiles or deflect them by holding L2.
The fight concludes with a cutscene as Erlang's health is nearly depleted, showing Sun Wukong's transformation and subsequent sealing within a stone egg by the magical circlet.
