Mini-boss Fight: Guangmou

Guangmou stands as one of the more challenging mini-bosses you'll encounter. He employs a deceptive mix of projectiles and swift teleportation, forcing you to stay on your toes and manage your positioning carefully. Poison is a significant threat, so ensure you have adequate countermeasures.

The fight begins with Guangmou summoning a cluster of homing ghostly projectiles. These can be dodged by sidestepping or deflected with precise timing. However, this is often a prelude to his teleportation. He frequently uses this distraction to close the distance rapidly. Once he's close, be prepared for his wide-area poison spit attack, which can quickly fill the space in front of him. Maintaining distance or finding safe pockets to evade this is paramount.

Guangmou also utilizes a faster projectile attack where he briefly levitates before launching a rapid sequence of spells. Learning the rhythm of these attacks is key to avoiding damage. If you find yourself struggling with poison, consider using the 'Red Tides' transformation spell, which can cleanse status effects upon reverting. This spell can also be useful for interrupting his teleportation attempts.

Defeating Guangmou rewards you with his spirit, which grants the ability to summon venomous snakes that spit poison. This can be a valuable asset in future encounters, especially against enemies vulnerable to poison damage. After the battle, proceed by ringing the second bell and navigating the path beyond the boss arena.
