Sun Wukong's journey begins with his rebellion against the Court of Heaven and its Heavenly Kings, leading to a confrontation with the Jade Emperor and Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. As Erlang nearly depletes Wukong's health, a magical circlet activates, causing immense pain. Erlang seizes this opportunity, casting Sun Wukong into a mountain and sealing him within a large stone egg, concluding his initial tale.
The Destined One and the Six Senses of the Great Sage
Centuries later, an elder monkey recounts the Monkey King's story, proclaiming a Destined One might follow Sun Wukong's path by seeking the Six Relics of the Monkey King's Spirit, known as the Six Senses of the Great Sage. This sets the stage for Chapter 1, where the player assumes control of the Destined One. The game is inspired by the Chinese novel "Journey to the West," a source for many adaptations, including "Dragon Ball."
