The Great Sage, Equaling Heaven (Optional)

The optional quest to become the Destined One begins centuries after the Monkey King's story, as an elder monkey retells his legend. To follow Sun Wukong's path, you must seek out the Six Relics of the Monkey King's Spirit, also known as the Six Senses of the Great Sage. This journey starts after Chapter 1 officially begins, following your initial rebellion against the Court of Heaven.

You begin playing as Sun Wukong, challenging the Court of Heaven and its Heavenly Kings, leading to a confrontation with the Jade Emperor and Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. After defeating the Wolf Scout, proceed up the stone staircase into a narrow passage. The path diverges: the left leads to a Wolf Scout guarding a gold chest with x5 Tiny Piece of Gold, which can be sold for Will. The right path leads to a Wolf Stalwart, a tougher enemy with powerful, far-reaching attacks. If overwhelmed, use your Healing Gourd by pressing L1.
