Wintermute Episode 3: Crossroads Elegy

In "Crossroads Elegy," you'll navigate the treacherous Zone of Contamination, encountering key locations like Boss's Settlement and Forgotten Exploration. These areas offer both challenges and crucial resources for survival. Prepare for harsh conditions and strategic scavenging as you uncover the episode's mysteries.

The Boss's Encampment is a collection of ruined buildings and one intact shed, situated high in the mountains near Idle Camp within the Zone of Contamination. While direct shelter is limited, the Scaffolder's Hideout, a Warm Cave, is a short walk across a wooden bridge. Look for Ptarmigans and Rabbits spawning nearby, and check containers in the ruined buildings for loot. A vista location overlooking the railroad is also present at the cliff side.

Forgotten Exploration is another vital location in the Zone of Contamination, found between Turbulent Pasture and Harrowed Residence. This mine boasts a very warm interior, making it an excellent spot for outdoor resting if you have a Bedroll. Inside, you can find Coal, Scrap Metal, Lockers, and Reclaimed Wood. An Emergency Kit can be found in the easternmost section of the mine, in a large room with a single column, after climbing the scaffolding.
