Gems are invaluable enhancements that are socketed directly into your weapon, providing a diverse array of stat increases and unique combat effects. Understanding their types, acquisition methods, and strategic application is key to unlocking your weapon's full potential.

Gem Tiers and Colors: A Spectrum of Power

Gems come in various tiers, typically indicated by their numerical value (e.g., Triangular, Square, Pentagonal, Hexagonal, Heptagonal, Octagonal) and quality (e.g., Sparkling, Brilliant, Flawless). Higher-tier gems offer significantly stronger bonuses. More importantly, gems are color-coded, with each color generally corresponding to a specific stat focus:

• Red Gems (Attack/Offensive): These are your primary source of raw damage. They typically boost stats like Attack Power, Critical Damage, Critical Rate, and Pierce. Essential for DPS classes.
• Blue Gems (Defensive/Utility): Focusing on survivability and crowd control. Expect boosts to Defense, HP, Block, Evasion, and sometimes unique effects like Stun or Knockback resistance. Useful for tanks or players struggling with survivability.

     • Acquisition: Farmed from daily quests, faction dailies, dungeons, and purchased from merchants with various currencies.
