Mentoring System

The Mentoring System in Blade & Soul provides a structured way for experienced players (Mentors) to guide newer players (Mentees), fostering community and offering tangible rewards for both parties. Becoming a Mentor or Mentee

To participate in the Mentoring System, you must first meet the eligibility requirements and register your role.

For Mentees:

  • Eligibility: Your character must be between Level 1 and Level 50 (Hongmoon Level 1). Once you reach Hongmoon Level 1, you are no longer eligible to be a Mentee.
  • Registration:
    1. Open the Social menu (default key: F4).
    2. Navigate to the "Mentoring" tab.
    3. Click on the "Register as Mentee" button.
    4. You can then browse available Mentors or accept an invitation from a prospective Mentor.
  • Benefits: Mentees receive bonus experience from quests and monster kills while grouped with their Mentor, access to exclusive Mentee-only daily quests, and direct guidance from an experienced player.

For Mentors:

  • Eligibility: Your character must be Hongmoon Level 1 or higher. There is no upper limit to Mentor level.
  • Registration:
    1. Open the Social menu (default key: F4).
    2. Navigate to the "Mentoring" tab.
    3. Click on the "Register as Mentor" button.
    4. You can then list yourself as available for Mentees to find, or send invitations to eligible players.
  • Benefits: Mentors earn "Mentor Points" and "Mentor's Blessing" currency by completing Mentor-specific daily quests with their Mentee and by their Mentee's progression. These currencies can be exchanged for valuable items.

Establishing a Mentoring Relationship

Once registered, either a Mentor or Mentee can initiate a relationship.

  1. Mentor Initiates: A Mentor can right-click on an eligible Mentee's character portrait or name in chat and select "Invite to Mentoring."
  2. Mentee Initiates: A Mentee can browse the list of available Mentors in the Mentoring tab of the Social menu (F4) and send a request.
  3. Acceptance: The other party must accept the invitation for the relationship to be established.
  4. Duration: A mentoring relationship lasts until the Mentee reaches Hongmoon Level 1, or until either party manually terminates the relationship.

Daily Activities and Rewards

The core of the Mentoring System revolves around completing daily quests and activities together.

Mentee Daily Quests:

  • Location: These quests are typically found in major hubs like Jadestone Village, Bamboo Village, and Zaiwei, offered by specific Mentoring System NPCs (e.g., "Mentoring Coordinator").
  • Examples:
    • "Training Grounds Practice": Defeat 10 training dummies in the Mushin's Tower Training Room while grouped with your Mentor.
    • "Dungeon Expedition (Mentee)": Complete a specific low-level dungeon (e.g., Blackram Narrows, The Secret of the Stratus) with your Mentor.
    • "Gathering Essentials": Collect 5 "Sparkling Dewdrops" from the Viridian Coast while grouped with your Mentor.
  • Rewards: Experience points, Gold, and "Mentee's Growth Chests" which contain useful consumables and upgrade materials.

Mentor Daily Quests:

  • Location: Similar to Mentee quests, these are offered by Mentoring System NPCs in major cities.
  • Examples:
    • "Guiding Hand": Have your Mentee complete 3 Mentee Daily Quests while you are grouped together.
    • "Shared Victory (Mentor)": Complete a specific dungeon (e.g., Bloodshade Harbor, Awakened Necropolis) with your Mentee.
    • "Mentoring Session": Spend 30 minutes grouped with your Mentee in a combat zone.
  • Rewards: Mentor Points, Mentor's Blessing, and "Mentor's Gratitude Boxes" containing items like "Radiant Energy," "Sacred Orbs," and "Pet Packets."

Mentor Shop and Rewards

Mentor Points and Mentor's Blessing can be exchanged for exclusive items at the Mentor Shop.

  • Location: The Mentor Shop NPC is usually found near the Mentoring Coordinators in major cities like Zaiwei and Jadestone Village.
