Available Difficulty Levels:

  1. Still Kicking: This is the easiest difficulty, recommended for players new to Blood or the Build engine. Enemies are less aggressive, deal less damage, and you'll find more health and ammo pickups. It's a good starting point to learn the maps and weapon mechanics without being overwhelmed.
  2. Lightly Broiled: A step up from 'Still Kicking', offering a moderate challenge. Enemies are a bit tougher and more numerous, and resources are slightly less abundant. This is a good option for players familiar with FPS games but new to Blood's specific brand of horror.
  3. Well Done: This is the 'normal' difficulty and provides a balanced challenge for experienced FPS players. Enemies are more aggressive, deal standard damage, and ammo conservation becomes more important. Expect to die a few times as you learn enemy patterns and level layouts.
  4. Extra Crispy: This difficulty is for seasoned Blood players and those who enjoy a significant challenge. Enemies are much tougher, deal high damage, and are more numerous. Ammo and health are scarce, forcing you to be extremely tactical and efficient with your resources. Expect frequent deaths and a high level of frustration if you're not prepared.
  5. The Way It's Supposed To Be: The hardest difficulty setting, designed for masochists and true masters of Blood. Enemies are relentless, deal maximum damage, and appear in overwhelming numbers. Resources are extremely rare, and every shot counts. This mode demands perfect execution, intimate knowledge of every level, and a willingness to exploit every secret and weakness. Only attempt this after you've thoroughly mastered the game on 'Extra Crispy'.

Recommendation: If you're new to Blood, start with 'Still Kicking' or 'Lightly Broiled'. If you're an FPS veteran, 'Well Done' is a good starting point. Don't be afraid to adjust the difficulty if you find yourself struggling too much or not being challenged enough. The goal is to have fun and experience the game's unique atmosphere.
