You've reached 'The Overlooked Hotel', a sprawling, multi-story building reminiscent of a haunted mansion. This level is known for its intricate layout, numerous rooms, and challenging enemy placements, including the introduction of Hands (disembodied, crawling hands).

- Hotel Entrance: You'll start outside the hotel. Clear the initial Cultists and Zombies. Look for the main entrance or a service entrance to gain access.
- Lobby and Reception: The main lobby is usually a large, open area with multiple exits. Expect heavy resistance here. The Tommy Gun is ideal for clearing out the lobby. Look for a reception desk or a small office for a key (e.g., Skull Key, Spider Key).
- Guest Rooms and Corridors: The hotel is filled with numerous guest rooms and long corridors. Many rooms will be locked, requiring keys. Be cautious when opening doors, as enemies (especially Hands and Phantasms) often ambush you from inside.
- Hands: These small, fast enemies crawl on the floor and can be difficult to hit. A Quick Kick or a single Sawed-Off Shotgun blast is effective. They often appear in groups.
- Kitchen and Dining Areas: These areas often contain health pickups and sometimes a key. Watch out for enemies hiding behind counters or in pantries.
- Basement/Cellar: The hotel's basement or cellar often contains a crucial switch or key. These areas are usually dark and claustrophobic, making them ideal for ambushes. The Flashlight will be useful here.
- Elevators and Stairs: Utilize elevators and stairwells to navigate the hotel's multiple floors. Be wary of enemies waiting at the top or bottom of staircases.
- Finding the Keys: You'll need to find several keys (e.g., Skull Key, Spider Key, Dagger Key) to unlock various sections of the hotel and progress. These are often found in specific rooms, offices, or hidden behind puzzles.
- Activating the Exit: The exit is typically a large, ornate door or a hidden passage that opens once you've explored the hotel and activated the necessary mechanisms. Prepare for a final, intense battle before you can leave.
This level requires methodical room-clearing and careful exploration. Don't rush into new areas. The Voodoo Doll's secondary fire can be very effective against groups of Cultists in the hotel's corridors.
