How to Beat Moon Presence (Secret Final Boss)
The Moon Presence is Bloodborne's true final boss, encountered only if specific conditions are met. To face this cosmic entity, you must first navigate the game's intricate ending requirements, which hinge on your consumption of One Third of Umbilical Cord items. This guide outlines the paths to encountering, and ultimately defeating, the Moon Presence.
There are three distinct endings in Bloodborne, with only one leading to the Moon Presence fight:
- Ending One: Surrender to Gehrman
Consume no more than 2 One Third of Umbilical Cord items. Talk to Gehrman and let him kill you. There is no final boss fight in this ending. - Ending Two: Defeat Gehrman
Consume no more than 2 One Third of Umbilical Cord items. Talk to Gehrman and choose to fight him. Gehrman will be the final boss. - Ending Three: Confront the Moon Presence
Collect and consume 3 or more One Third of Umbilical Cord items. Talk to Gehrman. You will fight Gehrman as the penultimate boss. After defeating Gehrman, the Moon Presence will appear, becoming the true final boss.
The Moon Presence fight will immediately follow the defeat of Gehrman if the requirements for Ending Three are met. If you have met the requirements and the messengers are not appearing with an item, ensure you have consumed 3 or more One Third of Umbilical Cord items before engaging Gehrman.
