Weapon damage in Bloodborne scales with your character's stats. Each weapon has scaling grades (S, A, B, C, D, E) for Strength, Skill, Bloodtinge, and Arcane. 'S' is the best scaling, 'E' is the worst. Understanding this is crucial for optimizing your damage output.

  • Strength: Primarily for heavy, slow-hitting weapons (e.g., Kirkhammer, Ludwig's Holy Blade in greatsword form).
  • Skill: Primarily for fast, agile weapons (e.g., Saw Spear, Blade of Mercy). Also increases Visceral Attack damage.
  • Bloodtinge: For firearms and specific trick weapons (e.g., Chikage, Bloodletter).
  • Arcane: For elemental damage on weapons (converted via Blood Gems) and Hunter Tools (e.g., Augur of Ebrietas, A Call Beyond).

Most builds will focus on 1-2 primary damage stats, along with Vitality and Endurance.
