Ludwig, the Holy Blade, is the first major boss encountered in The Old Hunters DLC for Bloodborne. Ludwig is found at the end of the Hunter's Nightmare area. The fight is divided into two distinct phases. In the first phase, Ludwig uses his Holy Sword, delivering wide, sweeping attacks and powerful slams. Stay mobile, dodge through his swings, and attack during his recovery animations. In the second phase, after losing a sificant portion of his health, Ludwig will unleash his true power, wielding a glowing, larger version of his sword. His attacks become more erratic and powerful, including a devastating charge and a ground-shattering slam. Focus on precise dodges and capitalize on brief openings. Defeating Ludwig rewards the hunter with his sature weapon, the Holy Blade.
