Character Specific Builds
Welcome, Sensei! This detailed section focuses on optimizing your favorite students for specific roles and challenges in Blue Archive. We'll break down ideal equipment, skill progression, and tactical considerations to help you get the most out of every character.
Haruna (Gehenna, Explosive Striker)
Haruna excels at dealing massive single-target Explosive damage, making her a cornerstone for raids and boss encounters vulnerable to this damage type. Her EX Skill, "Crimson Slash," is her bread and butter.
Equipment Priority:
- Weapon: Prioritize her Unique Weapon (UW) to at least Tier 3 for significant stat boosts and skill enhancements. For early game, any high-tier Assault Rifle (e.g., Tactical AR, High-Powered AR) with ATK and Crit Rate substats is suitable.
- Hat: Focus on hats that provide ATK and Crit Rate. The Tactical Hairpin (obtained from Hard Missions 10-3, 15-3) or Combat Headband (Crafting Chamber) are excellent choices.
- Watch: Crit Damage and ATK are key. The Precision Chronometer (Hard Missions 12-3, 17-3) or Advanced Stopwatch (Crafting Chamber) are highly recommended.
- Badge: Crit Rate and Crit Damage. The Sharp Shooter's Badge (Hard Missions 14-3, 19-3) or Veteran's Emblem (Crafting Chamber) are ideal.
Skill Progression:
- EX Skill (Crimson Slash): Max this first. The damage scaling is immense and crucial for her role.
- Sub Skill (Explosive Expertise): Prioritize this next for a consistent damage boost.
- Basic Skill (Swift Strike): Level this up after EX and Sub.
- Enhanced Skill (ATK Boost): Level this last, as its impact is less immediate than the others.
Tactical Strategy:
Haruna shines when her EX Skill can hit a single, high-HP target. Pair her with students who can provide ATK buffs (e.g., Ako, Himari) and Crit Damage buffs to maximize her burst potential. In raids, time her EX Skill with defense debuffs on the boss for optimal damage numbers. Ensure she has enough Skill Cost reduction support if you plan on using her EX Skill frequently.
Serika (Millennium, Piercing Striker)
Serika is a versatile Piercing damage dealer, excellent for clearing multiple enemies and contributing consistent damage against bosses vulnerable to Piercing. Her EX Skill, "Feline Fury," deals damage in a cone, making her great for grouped enemies.
Equipment Priority:
- Weapon: Her Unique Weapon (UW) is a strong upgrade, especially for its Crit Damage bonus. Before that, any high-tier Submachine Gun (SMG) like the Rapid-Fire SMG or Tactical SMG with ATK and Crit Rate is good.
- Hat: Look for ATK and Crit Rate. The Stylish Beret (Hard Missions 11-3, 16-3) or Combat Headband (Crafting Chamber) are solid choices.
- Hairpin: Crit Damage and ATK. The Lucky Charm Hairpin (Hard Missions 13-3, 18-3) or Precision Hairpin (Crafting Chamber) are recommended.
- Watch: Crit Rate and Crit Damage. The Advanced Stopwatch (Crafting Chamber) or Tactical Chronometer (Hard Missions 12-3, 17-3) are ideal.
Skill Progression:
- EX Skill (Feline Fury): Max this first for increased damage and wider area of effect.
- Basic Skill (Sharp Claws): This skill provides consistent damage and should be prioritized after EX.
- Sub Skill (Piercing Prowess): Level this for a general damage increase.
- Enhanced Skill (ATK Boost): Level this last.
Tactical Strategy:
Serika excels in scenarios where enemies are clustered, allowing her EX Skill to hit multiple targets. Position her carefully to maximize the cone effect. For boss fights, she can provide consistent damage, especially when paired with defense debuffers or ATK buffers. Consider bringing a tank to draw aggro, allowing Serika to safely unleash her skills.
Hifumi (Trinity, Mystic Special)
Hifumi is a unique support character who can summon Peroro, a tanky decoy that draws enemy fire. She's invaluable for protecting squishier units and disrupting enemy formations. Her EX Skill, "Peroro-sama's Advent," is her defining ability.
Equipment Priority:
- Weapon: Her Unique Weapon (UW) enhances Peroro's stats, making it a priority. Before UW, focus on Shotguns that provide HP or DEF to Hifumi, such as the Heavy Shotgun or Protective Shotgun.
- Bag: HP and DEF are crucial for Hifumi's survivability, which indirectly benefits Peroro. The Sturdy Backpack (Hard Missions 9-3, 14-3) or Reinforced Satchel (Crafting Chamber) are excellent.
- Hairpin: HP and DEF. The Guardian's Hairpin (Hard Missions 13-3, 18-3) or Protective Hairpin (Crafting Chamber) are recommended.
- Charm: HP and Healing Power. The Blessed Charm (Hard Missions 15-3, 20-3) or Resilient Charm (Crafting Chamber) are good choices.
Skill Progression:
- EX Skill (Peroro-sama's Advent): Max this first. The increased HP and duration for Peroro are vital.
- Sub Skill (Peroro's Protection): This skill boosts Peroro's DEF, making him even more durable. Prioritize this after EX.
- Basic Skill (Peroro's Support): This skill provides a small shield to an ally, useful for minor protection.
- Enhanced Skill (HP Boost): Level this last.
Tactical Strategy:
Hifumi's primary role is to deploy Peroro to absorb damage, especially from powerful boss attacks or large groups of enemies. Time her EX Skill strategically to redirect enemy aggro away from your main damage dealers or healers. She pairs well with characters who need protection or can capitalize on enemies being grouped around Peroro. Consider bringing a healer to keep Peroro alive longer, or another tank to alternate aggro if Peroro's cooldown is an issue.
