New Game+
Welcome back, Sensei! Embarking on a New Game+ in Blue Archive offers a fresh perspective on Kivotos, allowing you to leverage your previous progress while tackling new challenges and uncovering hidden secrets. This detailed guide will help you navigate your subsequent playthroughs efficiently.
What Carries Over?
Before diving in, understand what aspects of your previous save will transfer to New Game+:
- Student Roster: All acquired Students, their levels, skills, and equipment (including T-tier gear and Unique Weapons) will carry over. This is your primary advantage!
- Currencies & Resources: Pyroxene, Credits, Eligma, Skill Materials, and other consumable items will transfer. Stock up on these during your first run!
- Relationship Ranks: Student Relationship Ranks and their associated Mementos will remain.
- Cafe & Schedule: Your Cafe upgrades and unlocked Schedule slots will persist, allowing for continued resource generation and relationship building.
- Tactical Challenge Progress: Your highest achieved ranks in Tactical Challenge will carry over, though you'll still need to complete the daily attempts.
What Resets?
Be aware of what will reset, requiring you to re-earn or re-unlock them:
- Story Progress: All Main Story, Side Story, and Event Story chapters will reset. You'll need to play through them again to unlock subsequent chapters and earn first-clear rewards.
- Mission Progress: All Mission stages (Normal and Hard) will reset. This means re-earning 3-star clears and their associated Pyroxene.
- Bounty & Commission Progress: These daily activities will reset, allowing you to farm their rewards again.
- Lesson & Scrimmage Progress: These will reset, providing new opportunities for growth and rewards.
- Collectibles & Chests: While the reference material mentions chests carrying over in other games, in Blue Archive, specific mission-based collectibles (like certain event items or hidden objects within stages) will generally reset with the mission progress.
New Game+ Strategies
1. Prioritize Efficient Story Progression
With your powerful roster, you can blaze through early story chapters. Focus on quickly clearing Main Story missions to unlock crucial content:
- Auto-Clear & Skip: Utilize the auto-clear function for previously 3-starred stages and the story skip option to rapidly progress through dialogue you've already experienced.
- Targeted Farming: As you progress, identify key Hard Mode stages that drop valuable Student Elephs for your desired units. Prioritize these daily.
- Unlock New Content: Your primary goal in early NG+ should be to unlock higher-tier Bounties, Commissions, and Lesson stages to maximize your resource income.
2. Optimize Resource Acquisition
New Game+ is an excellent opportunity to refine your resource farming strategies:
- Eligma & Skill Materials: Focus on clearing higher-difficulty Bounty and Commission stages as soon as they become available. Your strong existing Students will make these much easier.
- Credit Farming: Re-clearing Main Story missions, especially those with high Credit rewards, can be a quick way to accumulate wealth. Don't forget the Credit Acquisition Commission!
- Pyroxene Riches: Each 3-star clear of a Main Story or Hard Mode stage in NG+ will grant you Pyroxene again. This is a significant source of currency for future Student pulls.
3. Explore Alternative Endings & Choices
While Blue Archive doesn't have multiple "endings" in the traditional sense, New Game+ allows you to revisit story choices and experience different dialogue paths or character interactions you might have missed. Pay attention to:
- Student Interaction Choices: Some story segments offer choices that influence Student reactions or unlock specific Mementos. Experiment with different options.
- Event Reruns: If an event reruns during your NG+ playthrough, you can re-experience its story and farm its unique rewards with your stronger team.
4. Prepare for Future Content
Use your enhanced power to prepare for upcoming challenges and new Student releases:
- Gear Farming: Focus on farming higher-tier equipment materials from missions to fully equip your entire roster, not just your main teams. This includes T-tier equipment blueprints from later chapters.
- Skill Material Hoarding: Accumulate a large reserve of Skill Materials (BDs, Technical Notes, etc.) to instantly max out the skills of new Students you acquire.
- Raid & Total Assault Optimization: Practice new team compositions and strategies against raid bosses and Total Assault challenges. Your NG+ run provides a safe environment to test these without the pressure of a first clear.
By following these steps, your New Game+ experience in Blue Archive will be a rewarding journey of power, efficiency, and discovery!
