Shop & Exchange Centers
The various Shops and Exchange Centers in Blue Archive are crucial for acquiring essential resources, student shards, and upgrade materials. Understanding how each shop operates, its refresh timers, and what to prioritize will significantly accelerate your progression. Always make it a habit to check these shops regularly to maximize your gains.
General Shop
The General Shop is your daily go-to for a wide array of items, often at discounted prices. It refreshes automatically twice a day: once at your server's daily reset time (typically 04:00 UTC) and again 12 hours later (16:00 UTC). You can also manually refresh the shop up to 3 times per day using Pyroxene, with the cost increasing with each refresh (30, 50, 80 Pyroxene). Manual refreshes are generally not recommended unless you are desperately searching for a specific, high-value item.
Priorities in the General Shop:
- Credit Report & Activity Report (AP): These are always worth purchasing if available for Credits. Credit Reports are essential for leveling up students, while Activity Reports provide valuable AP (Action Points) which translates to more mission runs and material farming.
- Skill Materials (BDs, Tech Notes, Skill Books): These are crucial for upgrading student skills. Prioritize purchasing skill materials for your core teams, especially those that are difficult to farm from missions. Look for these when they are offered for Credits.
- Eligma: If Eligma is offered for Credits, it's a good purchase. Eligma is a universal shard currency that can be converted into any student's shard.
- Equipment Blueprints (T4 and above): While lower-tier equipment is easily farmed, T4 and higher-tier equipment blueprints can be a bottleneck. If you see blueprints for equipment your main students need, especially for Credits, consider buying them.
- Pyroxene Deals: Occasionally, the General Shop might offer a small amount of Pyroxene for a very low Credit cost. These are always worth buying.
Common Pitfall: Avoid spending Pyroxene on manual refreshes unless you are a whale or in a very specific, urgent situation. The Pyroxene is better saved for recruiting new students or refreshing AP during events.
Eligma Shop
The Eligma Shop is where you convert your collected Eligma into specific student shards. This is a vital shop for Limit Breaking students, especially those you've obtained through the gacha system or for characters whose shards are difficult to farm.
How Eligma Works:
- Acquisition: You gain Eligma primarily from pulling duplicate students from the gacha (3-star duplicates yield more Eligma).
- Conversion Rate: The cost of shards in the Eligma shop varies based on the student's base rarity:
- 1-star student shards: 1 Eligma per shard
- 2-star student shards: 5 Eligma per shard
- 3-star student shards: 10 Eligma per shard
Priorities in the Eligma Shop:
- Core 3-star Students: Prioritize purchasing shards for your most powerful and frequently used 3-star students to reach their EX Skill level 5 and unlock their Unique Weapons. Examples include powerful attackers like Himari, Kaho, Ako, or tanks like Haruna (New Year).
- Unique Weapon Unlocks: Once a student reaches 5-stars, you can use their shards to unlock and enhance their Unique Weapon. This is a significant power spike for many students.
- Farmable Students (Lower Priority): While you can buy shards for 1-star and 2-star students, it's generally more efficient to farm their shards from Hard Mode missions or other exchange shops if possible, saving your Eligma for rarer 3-star students.
Strategy Tip: Plan your Eligma spending carefully. Identify which students will provide the biggest impact on your raid scores (Total Assault) or general progression, and focus your Eligma on them. Avoid spreading your Eligma too thin across many students.
Total Assault Shop
The Total Assault Shop uses Total Assault Coins, earned by participating in the Total Assault raid events. This shop offers some of the most exclusive and valuable items in the game.
Priorities in the Total Assault Shop:
- Student Shards (Event Exclusive): The Total Assault Shop often features shards for specific students, sometimes even exclusive ones that are difficult to obtain otherwise. These are usually a top priority. For example, shards for Shun or Hoshino (Swimsuit) if they appear.
- Unique Weapon Materials (Artifacts): These materials are essential for upgrading Unique Weapons beyond level 30. They are very scarce and should be highly prioritized.
- High-Tier Skill Materials (BDs, Tech Notes, Skill Books): Especially the highest rarity (e.g., "Secret" skill books), these are crucial for maximizing your students' skill levels.
- Eligma: If available, Eligma is always a good purchase to supplement your shard farming.
- Equipment Blueprints (T5 and above): Similar to the General Shop, higher-tier equipment blueprints are valuable here.
Refresh Timer: The Total Assault Shop typically refreshes with new items or restocks existing ones at the start of a new Total Assault season or event, not daily.
Actionable Advice: Participate in every Total Assault event to earn as many coins as possible. Even if you can't clear the highest difficulties, every coin counts towards these valuable purchases.
Joint Firing Range Shop
The Joint Firing Range Shop uses Joint Firing Range Coins, obtained by completing stages in the Joint Firing Range content. This shop is a primary source for specific skill materials.
Priorities in the Joint Firing Range Shop:
- Skill Materials (BDs, Tech Notes, Skill Books): This shop is specifically designed to provide a steady supply of skill materials for different schools. Focus on purchasing the skill materials needed for your current priority students. The shop will rotate which school's materials are available.
- Eligma: If offered, Eligma is a good secondary purchase.
Refresh Timer: The Joint Firing Range Shop typically refreshes its stock of skill materials on a weekly basis, aligning with the weekly reset of the Joint Firing Range stages.
Strategy Tip: Always run your daily Joint Firing Range attempts. Even if you don't immediately need the materials, accumulating coins allows you to purchase large quantities when a specific school's materials become available for your priority students.
Other Exchange Centers (Brief Overview)
While the above are the main shops, Blue Archive also features several other exchange centers, often tied to specific content or events:
- Raid Coin Shop (Tactical Challenge): Uses Tactical Challenge Coins. Prioritize shards for students like Hoshino or Shiroko, and then high-tier equipment blueprints.
- Event Shops: During limited-time events, a dedicated event shop will appear. These are often the best places to farm specific student shards, unique event items, and a large quantity of skill materials. Always clear out event shops as much as possible.
- Crafting Chamber: While not a traditional "shop," the Crafting Chamber allows you to combine lower-tier materials into higher-tier ones, or craft unique equipment. It's essential for managing your inventory and acquiring specific items.
By diligently checking these shops and understanding their unique offerings, you can significantly optimize your resource management and student progression in Blue Archive.
