Limited-Time Events
Limited-Time Events are a cornerstone of progression and character acquisition in Blue Archive. These events typically run for two to three weeks and offer unique story content, exclusive students, valuable crafting materials, and a plethora of Pyroxene. Mastering event mechanics is crucial for maximizing your rewards and strengthening your academy.
Event Structure Overview
Most limited-time events follow a similar structure, though specific mechanics can vary. Understanding these core components will help you plan your strategy:
- Event Story Stages: Progress through these stages to unlock new story chapters and gain initial event currency. These are usually one-time clears.
- Event Challenge Stages: These are harder stages that offer significant first-clear rewards, often including Pyroxene and rare crafting materials. They may have specific student or unit type restrictions.
- Event Farming Stages: The bread and butter of event progression. These stages are repeatable and drop various event currencies, which are then exchanged in the Event Shop.
- Event Shop: Your primary destination for exchanging accumulated event currencies for valuable items. This is where you'll find character Eleph, skill materials, equipment, and more.
- Bonus Students: Certain students, often those featured in the event banner or new releases, provide a bonus to event currency drops when included in your squad. Prioritize using them!
General Event Strategy & Walkthrough
Follow these actionable steps to efficiently clear and farm any limited-time event:
Phase 1: Initial Progression & Story Unlocks
- Prioritize Story Stages: Immediately clear all available Event Story Stages. These often have low AP costs and unlock subsequent content, including farming stages. Pay attention to the story for lore and character development!
- Assess Bonus Students: Check the event details for any students that provide event currency bonuses. If you have them, even at low levels, consider including them in your teams for farming stages. Their bonus often outweighs a slight decrease in combat efficiency.
- First Clear Rewards: As you progress, ensure you collect all first-clear rewards from both Story and Challenge stages. These often include valuable Pyroxene and rare materials like Eligma or Artifact Fragments.
Phase 2: Efficient Farming & Shop Prioritization
- Identify Optimal Farming Stages: Once all story and challenge stages are unlocked, focus on the repeatable farming stages.
- Currency Focus: Determine which event currency is most needed for your desired items in the Event Shop. Different stages drop different currencies.
- AP Efficiency: Compare the AP cost to the currency yield across stages. Higher difficulty stages generally offer better returns per AP. Aim for the highest difficulty you can consistently clear with your bonus students.
- Material Drops: Some farming stages also drop general crafting materials (e.g., Advanced Tech Notes, Tactical Training Blu-rays) in addition to event currency. Factor these into your farming decisions if you're low on specific resources.
- Event Shop Prioritization: The Event Shop is where your hard-earned currency goes. Prioritize purchases strategically:
- Character Eleph: If the event features a new or desirable student, their Eleph should be a top priority, especially if you plan to recruit them or enhance their rarity.
- Skill Materials: Tactical Training Blu-rays (all tiers), Skill Activity Reports, and Advanced Tech Notes are always in high demand. Stock up on these.
- Equipment: Event shops often offer high-tier equipment (e.g., T5 Bags, T6 Watches) or specific equipment pieces that are difficult to farm elsewhere.
- Pyroxene & Eligma: If available, these are universally valuable.
- Credit Points: While abundant, event shops often offer a good exchange rate for credits, which are essential for student leveling and skill upgrades.
- Daily AP Management: Utilize your daily AP refills (from natural regeneration, daily missions, and Pyroxene refreshes) to maximize your farming. Consider spending Pyroxene for additional AP refreshes if the event rewards are particularly valuable and you have a strong need for them.
Phase 3: Final Push & Cleanup
- Check Event Mission Rewards: claim any event-specific missions that reward additional currency or items for clearing stages a certain number of times or using specific students.
- Clear Remaining Shop Items: In the final days of the event, try to clear out any remaining desirable items from the Event Shop. Even lower-priority items like Basic Activity Reports can be useful.
- Unused Currency: Be aware that unused event currency typically converts into a small amount of Credit Points after the event concludes. It's always better to spend it in the shop if possible.
By following this comprehensive guide, you'll be well-equipped to tackle any Limited-Time Event in Blue Archive, securing all the valuable rewards and strengthening your academy for future challenges!
