Remember, Boneworks is all about physics and creative problem-solving, so don't be afraid to experiment!

Story Progression Achievements

These achievements are earned by simply progressing through the main narrative. While most are unmissable, we'll highlight any specific actions or areas to be aware of.

  • Void Traveler: Complete the "Museum" level.
    • Walkthrough: This is your introduction to the Boneworks world. Simply follow the tutorial prompts, interact with the various physics objects, and proceed through the initial training modules. The achievement unlocks upon entering the main Museum exhibit area after the initial calibration.
  • Monogon's Gaze: Reach the "Sewers" level.
    • Walkthrough: After navigating through the Museum and its various challenges, you'll eventually find yourself descending into the grimy depths of the Sewers. This achievement pops as soon as the level loads. Be prepared for more combat and environmental puzzles.
  • Nullbody's Bane: Defeat the first Nullbody boss in "Rooftops."
    • Walkthrough: The Nullbody boss encounter in Rooftops requires strategic use of cover and environmental hazards. Look for explosive barrels or heavy objects you can drop on its head. A well-placed shot from the Ford Pistol (found near the start of the level, usually on a crate) to its core can also stun it, allowing for follow-up attacks.
  • The Core Ascendant: Complete the main story campaign.
    • Walkthrough: This achievement is awarded upon witnessing the final cinematic after defeating the last boss. Ensure you've followed all main objectives and overcome all challenges. No specific items are required beyond your standard arsenal.

Exploration & Collectible Achievements

These achievements often require a keen eye and a willingness to stray from the beaten path. Collecting all the hidden items can be a significant challenge!

  • Data Miner: Collect all 10 Data Disks.
    • Overview: Data Disks are small, glowing blue discs hidden in various levels. They often require some creative climbing or puzzle-solving to reach.
    • Locations & Strategies:
      • Museum: In the "Gravity Gauntlet" section, look for a hidden ledge above the main path. You'll need to use the Gravity Gloves to pull yourself up.
      • Sewers: Behind a destructible wall near the second large water pump. Use a heavy weapon like the Crowbar to break through.
      • Rooftops: On a precarious beam overlooking the city. Carefully cross the gap or use a well-aimed jump.
      • Runoff: Inside a locked crate in the flooded basement area. The key is usually found on a high shelf nearby.
      • Dungeon: In a secret chamber accessible by pulling a hidden lever behind a tapestry.
      • Arena: On the highest platform, accessible via a series of parkour jumps.
      • Tower: Behind a ventilation shaft that can be pried open with a Sledgehammer.
      • Streets: Inside a dumpster that needs to be tipped over.
      • Warehouse: On top of a stack of crates, requiring careful climbing.
      • Voidway: Near the final platforming section, look for a small alcove.
  • Secret Seeker: Discover all 5 hidden areas.
    • Overview: Hidden areas are distinct, often small, rooms or sections that are not part of the main progression and usually contain unique items or lore.
    • Locations & Strategies:
      • Museum - Developer's Office: In the initial hub area, look for a vent that can be removed. Crawl through to find a small office with developer notes.
      • Sewers - Janitor's Closet: Near the end of the Sewers, there's a locked door. Find the Janitor's Key on a hanging hook in a nearby maintenance shaft.
      • Rooftops - Sniper's Perch: After the Nullbody boss, look for a climbable pipe leading to a high vantage point with a sniper rifle.
      • Dungeon - Ancient Crypt: In the main chamber with the large statue, interact with a loose brick on the wall to reveal a hidden passage.
      • Voidway - Observation Deck: During the final descent, look for a small, glowing portal off the main path. It leads to a serene observation deck.

Combat & Skill Achievements

Prove your mastery of Boneworks' physics-driven combat and movement with these challenging feats.

  • Headshot Hero: Achieve 100 headshots with any firearm.
    • Strategy: Aim for the head! This is cumulative across all playthroughs and levels. The Ford Pistol and Assault Rifle are excellent choices for accuracy. Practice in the Arena mode to hone your aim.
  • Melee Master: Defeat 50 enemies using only melee weapons.
    • Strategy: Equip a durable melee weapon like the Crowbar, Sledgehammer, or even the humble Baseball Bat. Focus on striking weak points and utilizing environmental objects to your advantage. The "Arena" is a great place to farm these kills.
  • Gravity Grappler: Kill 25 enemies by throwing objects with the Gravity Gloves.
    • Strategy: The Gravity Gloves are your best friend here. Pick up heavy objects like crates, barrels, or even other enemies, and hurl them with force. The "Warehouse" level, with its abundance of throwable items, is ideal for this.
  • Unscathed: Complete any level without taking damage.
    • Strategy: This is best attempted on earlier, less combat-intensive levels like "Museum" or "Runoff." Take your time, observe enemy patrols, and use stealth or long-range weapons to eliminate threats before they can react. Saving frequently and reloading if you take damage is a valid tactic.

Miscellaneous & Challenge Achievements

These achievements often involve unique interactions or completing specific challenges outside the main path.

  • Hoarder: Collect 50 unique items in your inventory.
    • Strategy: Simply pick up and store different items in your inventory slots. This includes weapons, tools, props, and even small trinkets. You'll naturally accumulate many items throughout the game, but actively seeking out new ones will speed up the process.
  • Parkour Pro: Complete the "Parkour Gauntlet" in under 60 seconds.
    • Location: The Parkour Gauntlet is a dedicated challenge course accessible from the main hub area.
    • Strategy: Practice is key! Learn the optimal routes, master your jumps, and utilize the environment for speed boosts. Don't be afraid to restart if you make a mistake. Focus on fluid movement and efficient climbing.
  • Toy Collector: Find all 3 hidden Boneworks action figures.
    • Overview: These small, collectible action figures are exceptionally well-hidden and often require significant exploration.
    • Locations & Strategies:
      • Museum: Tucked away in a display case that needs to be shattered with a heavy object.
      • Dungeon: Behind a waterfall, requiring you to swim through a hidden passage.
      • Voidway: On a floating island far off the main path, accessible only by a precise long jump or by using the Gravity Gloves to pull yourself across.
