Location: Harrington House
Strategy:
- Phase 1: Preppy Reinforcements: Derby will initially send his Preppy cronies (Pinky and Bif) to fight you. Focus on taking them out first. Use your slingshot to stun them, then engage in melee. Be aware of their ranged attacks (tennis balls).
- Phase 2: Derby's Melee: Once his cronies are down, Derby will engage you directly. He's a fast fighter with quick punches. Dodge his attacks and counter. He's not as strong as Russell, but he's more agile.
- Phase 3: Environmental Attacks: Derby will occasionally try to use environmental objects, like throwing vases. Dodge these and use the opening to get in close. Keep moving and don't let him corner you.
Weaknesses:
- Relies on backup.
- Can be outmaneuvered.
Rewards:
- Respect from the Preppies (they will no longer attack you on sight).
- Access to Harrington House for future missions.
This fight emphasizes dealing with multiple opponents and then focusing on a faster, more agile boss. Ranged weapons are very useful here.
