General Combat Strategies

Russian Campaign: Winter Warfare

The Russian front is a brutal test of endurance. Expect fierce resistance and harsh environmental conditions.

Mission 1: Training Day

Your introduction to the harsh realities of war. Focus on mastering basic movement and weapon handling.

    • Weapon Familiarization (Mosin-Nagant): Pick up the Mosin-Nagant rifle from the designated rack. Practice aiming down sights and firing at the target dummies.
    • Reloading & Grenades: Learn to reload your weapon and throw a practice grenade at the marked area.
    • Obstacle Course: Navigate the obstacle course, using cover and jumping over barriers.
Mission 2: Not One Step Back!

Defend the trenches against a relentless German assault. This mission emphasizes defensive positioning and strategic grenade use.

  • Objective: Hold the Line.
    • Initial Defense: Immediately take cover in the trench upon mission start. Equip your Mosin-Nagant. German infantry will advance from the open field ahead. Prioritize enemies carrying machine guns.
    • Flank Prevention: Be aware of enemies attempting to flank your position from the left side of the trench. Use your PPSh-41 for close-range engagements if they breach.
    • Grenade Counter: When German grenades land near your position, quickly move to avoid the blast or throw them back if prompted.
    • Machine Gun Nest: A German MG42 will be set up in a ruined building across the field. Use a well-aimed frag grenade to neutralize the gunner, or suppress them with sustained rifle fire.
  • Objective: Push Back the Enemy.
    • Advance to the Farmhouse: Once the initial wave is repelled, your squad will advance. Follow them, using the craters and debris for cover.
    • Clear the Farmhouse: The farmhouse will be heavily defended. Toss a grenade into the main entrance before entering. Clear room by room, checking corners. Look for an MP40 or Kar98k to replace your PPSh-41 if you prefer.
    • Secure the Courtyard: After clearing the farmhouse, move into the courtyard. More German soldiers will emerge from the barn. Use the stone walls for cover and eliminate them.

British Campaign: North Africa

The desert sands hide many dangers. Expect tank engagements and long-range firefights.

Mission 1: The End of the Beginning

Participate in the Battle of El Alamein, pushing through enemy lines.

  • Objective: Clear the German Trenches.
    • Initial Assault: Advance with your squad. Use the sand dunes and rocky outcrops for cover. The Lee-Enfield is your primary weapon here, effective at medium to long range.
    • Machine Gun Positions: Two MG42 nests will be positioned overlooking the trenches. Use smoke grenades to obscure their vision while you advance, or pick off the gunners with precise shots.
    • Grenade Clearing: Toss frag grenades into the trench sections before entering to clear out entrenched infantry.
  • Objective: Destroy the Flak 88.
    • Locate the Anti-Air Gun: The Flak 88 is located past the trenches, near a small encampment. Expect heavy resistance around it.
    • Approach Strategy: Flank the position if possible, using the rocky terrain for cover. Alternatively, use smoke grenades to mask your direct approach.
    • Plant Explosives: Once you reach the Flak 88, interact with it to plant the explosives. You'll have a short timer before detonation. Retreat to a safe distance immediately after planting.
