Standard infantry units are the most common adversaries you'll face in Call of Duty 2026. They typically wield assault rifles, submachine guns, or bolt-action rifles. Their primary strength lies in their numbers and their ability to coordinate fire. They are vulnerable to well-aimed shots, especially headshots, and can be effectively suppressed with automatic fire or grenades. When engaging standard infantry, prioritize taking cover and engaging them one by one. Use controlled bursts to maintain accuracy and conserve ammunition. Be aware of their tendency to advance in groups, so a well-placed explosive can neutralize multiple threats at once.
Their weaknesses are their relatively low armor and their predictability in direct engagements. They will often attempt to flank or advance directly towards your position. Use this predictability to your advantage by setting up ambushes or pre-aiming common approach routes. If you find yourself outnumbered, utilize the environment for cover and reposition yourself to break their line of sight. Effective use of suppressive fire can also pin them down, allowing you and your squad to advance or reposition safely. Always be mindful of their grenades, as they are often equipped with them.
