The Goliath is a heavily armored, player-controlled mech suit that appears as an enemy in several campaign missions. When facing an enemy Goliath, it acts as a formidable mini-boss. Its primary attacks include a powerful minigun and devastating ground slams. It is slow but incredibly resilient.
Strategy:
- Target Weak Points: The most vulnerable spot on a Goliath is typically its exposed back, particularly the power core or cooling vents. Aim for these areas whenever possible.
- Utilize Explosives: Rocket launchers, grenades (especially Smart Grenades), and explosive barrels in the environment are highly effective. Save your heavy ordnance for these encounters.
- Flanking & Mobility: Use your Exo-Suit's boost jumps and dashes to get behind the Goliath. It has limited turning speed, making it susceptible to flanking maneuvers.
- Environmental Hazards: Look for opportunities to use the environment against it, such as collapsing structures or triggering explosions.
- Focus Fire: If you have AI teammates, they will also engage the Goliath. Coordinate your attacks to maximize damage.
- Avoid Direct Confrontation: Do not stand in its direct line of fire for extended periods. Its minigun can shred your health quickly.
Patience and precise targeting are key to taking down a Goliath.
