The Shadow Broker is a cunning and agile operative faced in Mission 4: Serpent's Coil. This boss specializes in stealth and close-quarters combat, utilizing a silenced SMG and throwing knives. The fight takes place in a dense jungle environment with limited visibility and many hiding spots. He will frequently disappear and reappear, making him difficult to track. His attacks are quick and deadly, so situational awareness is key.
Strategy
- Weak Point: The Shadow Broker has no obvious weak point, but sustained fire to the chest or head is effective.
- Sound Cues: Listen for his footsteps and voice lines, which often precede an attack or reveal his general location.
- Thermal Optics: If available in your loadout, thermal optics can help track him through the foliage.
- Area Denial: Use Molotovs or Incendiary Grenades to deny him access to certain hiding spots.
- Melee Counter: If he gets too close for a melee attack, be prepared to counter with your own quick melee or a shotgun blast.
- Recommended Loadout: An SMG with a fast fire rate (e.g., MP5 with extended mags) and a Shotgun. Bring Molotovs and a Stimshot.
He will occasionally deploy smoke grenades to further obscure vision. Use your mini-map to track his general direction if he appears as a red dot.
