Commander 'Viper' Petrov is a cunning and agile adversary encountered in Mission 7: Serpent's Nest. Petrov is a master of stealth and close-quarters combat, utilizing a silenced SMG and throwing knives. The fight takes place in a multi-level warehouse. Phase 1: Evasive Maneuvers. Petrov will constantly move, using the environment for cover and flanking. He will frequently deploy smoke grenades to obscure your vision. Use your tactical scanner or thermal optics to track his movements through the smoke. His weak point is his head, but hitting it requires precise timing. Use an SMG or an Assault Rifle with a high fire rate. Phase 2: Aggressive Push. Once his health is reduced, Petrov will become more aggressive, attempting to close the distance for melee attacks. He will also deploy tripmines. Watch your step and disarm them if possible. When he charges, use a shotgun or a powerful melee attack to counter. Keep your distance and use cover. Reward for defeat: 'Viper's Fang' weapon blueprint (silenced SMG) and a sificant XP boost.
