Co-op Mission Strategies
Welcome, operatives! This section provides comprehensive strategies for tackling Black Ops 7's most challenging co-op missions. Success in these operations hinges on seamless teamwork, precise execution, and smart loadout choices. We'll break down key objectives, enemy encounters, and optimal team compositions to ensure your squad emerges victorious.

Operation: Crimson Dawn
Mission Overview: Infiltrate a heavily fortified KVA research facility in the Siberian Arctic to extract critical intel and neutralize a rogue operative, "Viper." This mission demands stealth and coordinated assaults.
Phase 1: Infiltration and Perimeter Breach
- Team Composition: Recommend one player with a suppressed "Ghost" SMG and "Shadow Step" Tactical Gear for stealth, one with a "Kraken" LMG and "Aegis" Armor Plate for suppressing fire, and two flexible roles.
- Entry Point: Utilize the frozen river approach on the east side of the facility. The ice offers limited cover but avoids direct confrontation with the main gate's turrets.
- Strategy:
- Stealth Player (Point): Use "Shadow Step" to bypass the initial patrol of two KVA Heavy Troopers near the observation tower. Disable the tower's spotlight using the console inside.
- LMG Player (Support): Provide overwatch from the treeline, suppressing any KVA patrols that detect the stealth player. Prioritize targets with red laser sights.
- Team Coordination: Once the spotlight is down, the entire team converges on the service tunnel entrance, marked by a flickering red light. Use "Flashbangs" to disorient the three guards inside before engaging.
Phase 2: Data Extraction and Viper's Lair
Objective: Locate the main server room (Sector 4) and initiate data transfer. Simultaneously, pinpoint Viper's location within the facility.
- Server Room Approach:
- Navigate through the ventilation shafts above the main laboratory (accessible via a ladder in the west corridor). This bypasses several patrol routes.
- One player should carry the "Data Scrambler" utility. Upon reaching Sector 4, deploy the Scrambler on the central server rack. This will trigger an alarm.
- Defensive Stance: The remaining players must defend the Scrambler. KVA Shock Troopers will breach from the north and south doorways. Utilize "Claymores" or "Proximity Mines" at these entry points. The "Kraken" LMG is invaluable here for sustained fire.
- Locating Viper: While the data transfer is ongoing, one player (preferably with a "Recon Drone") should scout the upper levels of Sector 4. Viper is typically found in the adjacent command center, identifiable by a unique holographic map.
Phase 3: Viper Engagement and Exfil
Objective: Neutralize Viper and escape the facility via the designated extraction point.
- Viper Encounter:
- Viper is heavily armored and utilizes a modified "Hydra" Assault Rifle. He also deploys automated sentry turrets.
- Team Tactic: Designate one player to draw Viper's fire while the others focus on destroying the sentry turrets. The "EMP Grenade" is highly effective against the turrets.
- Once turrets are down, focus concentrated fire on Viper's headshot weak point. Use "Armor Piercing Rounds" if available.
- Extraction: After Viper is down, proceed to the helipad on the facility's roof. Expect heavy resistance from KVA reinforcements, including armored vehicles.
- Vehicle Counter: The "Javelin" Rocket Launcher, found in the armory near the helipad, is crucial for destroying the armored vehicles.
- Final Push: Coordinate suppressing fire and advance to the extraction chopper. Do not linger; the facility will be under constant assault.
Operation: Desert Serpent
Mission Overview: Secure a downed satellite dish in the Sahara Desert and upload a virus to disrupt enemy communications. This mission emphasizes long-range engagements and environmental awareness.
Phase 1: Satellite Dish Approach
- Team Composition: Two players with "Mantis" Sniper Rifles and "Thermal Optics", one with a "Rattlesnake" Marksman Rifle and "Spotter Scope", and one with an "Anvil" Assault Rifle and "Medkit" Tactical Gear for close-quarters and support.
- Desert Navigation: The desert terrain offers limited cover. Stick to the high ground and use rock formations for concealment. Watch out for sandstorms, which reduce visibility for both friend and foe.
- Strategy:
- Sniper Overlords: The two sniper establish positions on the highest dunes overlooking the satellite dish. Prioritize enemy snipers and heavy weapon emplacements.
- Marksman Spotter: The Marksman player uses the "Spotter Scope" to mark high-value targets and call out enemy movements to the snipers.
- Assault/Support: The Assault player provides close-range defense and revives downed teammates. Use the "Anvil" for quick target acquisition against flanking enemies.
Phase 2: Virus Upload and Defense
Objective: Access the satellite dish's control panel and initiate the virus upload. Defend the dish until the upload is complete.
- Control Panel Access: The control panel is located at the base of the main satellite dish. Expect heavy resistance from KVA Light Infantry and Dog Units.
- Defensive Setup:
- Perimeter Defense: Deploy "Sentry Guns" or "Turret Deployables" at the two main access ramps leading to the dish.
- Sniper Support: Snipers maintain their elevated positions, providing suppressive fire and eliminating incoming waves. Focus on enemies attempting to disable the Sentry Guns.
- Close Quarters: The Marksman and Assault players defend the control panel directly. Use "Incendiary Grenades" to deny access to choke points.
- Upload Progress: The upload takes 90 seconds. Communicate enemy positions and reload timings.
Phase 3: Extraction Under Fire
Objective: Reach the extraction point at the designated oasis, approximately 500 meters south of the satellite dish.
- Escape Route: The path to the oasis is exposed. KVA vehicles, including Technicals with mounted machine guns, will pursue your team.
- Vehicle Engagement:
- Anti-Vehicle: Designate one player to carry the "Stinger" Missile Launcher (found in a supply crate near the satellite dish after the upload). Prioritize the Technicals.
- Suppressive Fire: The remaining players provide suppressive fire on the vehicle occupants and any dismounted infantry.
- Movement: Move as a cohesive unit, using the sparse rock formations and abandoned vehicles for cover. Do not attempt to outrun the vehicles without eliminating them first.
- Oasis Final Stand: Upon reaching the oasis, a final wave of KVA Elite Guards will attempt to prevent extraction. Utilize any remaining "Cluster Grenades" or "Air Strikes" to clear the landing zone for the extraction chopper.
