Weapon Tier List
Welcome, operatives, to the definitive breakdown of firepower in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. This tier list is designed to give you a competitive edge, whether you're dominating in multiplayer or pushing through the toughest challenges in Dead Ops Arcade 4. We've analyzed weapon performance across various modes, considering factors like time-to-kill (TTK), recoil, mobility, and utility. Remember, while a weapon's tier indicates its general effectiveness, personal playstyle and attachment choices can always elevate a lower-tier option.

S-Tier: Dominators of the Battlefield
These weapons are the crème de la crème, offering unparalleled performance in most engagements. Mastering these will significantly increase your kill-to-death ratio and objective play.
- Kilo-74 (Assault Rifle): The Kilo-74 remains a beast in Black Ops 7. Its exceptional damage range, manageable recoil, and high fire rate make it a versatile choice for all skill levels.
- Strategy: For multiplayer, equip the "Stalker" Barrel for increased bullet velocity and the "Combat Stock" for improved aim-down-sight (ADS) speed. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, prioritize the "Extended Mag" attachment to maximize sustained fire against hordes.
- Location: Unlocked early in the Battle Pass at Tier 5. Can also be found as a rare drop in Dead Ops Arcade 4 Mystery Boxes.
- Spectre-X (SMG): For close-quarters combat, nothing beats the Spectre-X. Its blistering fire rate and high mobility allow for aggressive pushes and rapid eliminations.
- Strategy: Pair with the "Lightweight Suppressor" for stealth and the "Quickdraw Grip" for lightning-fast ADS. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Spectre-X excels when paired with the "Electric Cherry" perk for crowd control.
- Location: Unlocked at Player Level 32. Frequently appears in Dead Ops Arcade 4 as a common weapon pickup from fallen enemies or within early-round Mystery Boxes.
A-Tier: Highly Effective & Reliable
These weapons are strong contenders, capable of competing with S-tier options with the right attachments and playstyle. They offer excellent performance and are often more forgiving than their S-tier counterparts.
- Raptor .50 (Sniper Rifle): The Raptor .50 delivers devastating one-shot kills to the upper torso and head. Its high damage output makes it a favorite for skilled marksmen.
- Strategy: Focus on attachments that reduce sway and increase bullet velocity, such as the "Heavy Barrel" and "Variable Zoom Scope". In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Raptor .50 is a powerful tool for taking down Boss Zombies quickly, especially with the "Headshot Multiplier" power-up.
- Location: Unlocked at Player Level 48. Occasionally found in Dead Ops Arcade 4 Mystery Boxes in later rounds.
- Bulldog (Shotgun): The Bulldog is a close-range powerhouse, capable of clearing rooms with ease. Its consistent one-shot potential makes it a terrifying sight for enemies.
- Strategy: Maximize its close-quarters dominance with the "Laser Sight" for improved hip-fire accuracy and the "Choke" attachment for a tighter pellet spread. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Bulldog is excellent for creating breathing room when surrounded by zombies.
- Location: Unlocked at Player Level 18. A common drop in Dead Ops Arcade 4 from early-round enemies.
B-Tier: Solid & Situational
These weapons are perfectly viable but may require more specific situations or a higher skill ceiling to truly shine. They can be effective in the right hands but might struggle against top-tier options.
- Vanguard LMG (Light Machine Gun): The Vanguard offers a high magazine capacity and sustained fire, making it ideal for suppressing enemies and holding lanes.
- Strategy: Compensate for its slower mobility with the "Foregrip" for recoil control and the "Light Stock" for a slight ADS speed boost. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Vanguard is a reliable choice for holding chokepoints and mowing down large groups of zombies.
- Location: Unlocked at Player Level 25. Can be purchased from the Armory in Dead Ops Arcade 4 for 1500 points.
- Python (Pistol): While a secondary, the Python packs a serious punch. Its high damage per shot can be surprisingly effective in close-range emergencies.
- Strategy: Equip the "Speed Loader" for faster reloads and the "Akimbo" perk (if available) for dual-wielding mayhem. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Python is a decent backup weapon for conserving primary ammo.
- Location: Unlocked at Player Level 10. A very common starting weapon in Dead Ops Arcade 4 or found as a low-tier drop.
C-Tier: Niche & Challenging
These weapons are generally outperformed by higher-tier options. They may have significant drawbacks or require a very specific playstyle to be effective. Use them for a challenge or if you truly enjoy their unique mechanics.
- Crossbow (Special Weapon): The Crossbow offers silent, one-shot kills but demands pinpoint accuracy and has a slow reload.
- Strategy: Best used for stealthy flanks and picking off unsuspecting enemies. The "Explosive Bolts" attachment can provide some area-of-effect damage. In Dead Ops Arcade 4, the Crossbow is largely ineffective against large hordes but can be fun for precision kills on individual zombies.
- Location: Unlocked via a specific in-game challenge: "Get 10 one-shot kills with a Sniper Rifle in a single match, 5 times."
