Throughout the campaign, you'll encounter various enemy vehicles, most notably attack helicopters and armored personnel carriers (APCs). These can be challenging if you don't have the right tools.
Attack Helicopters
- Attacks: Machine gun fire, rockets.
- Weaknesses: Launchers (Cigma 2, RPG-7), LMGs (sustained fire), mounted turrets.
- Strategy: Find cover immediately. Use a launcher to quickly take them down. If no launcher is available, focus sustained fire from an LMG or assault rifle on the cockpit or engine area. Mounted turrets found in some missions are highly effective.
Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) / Tanks
- Attacks: Main cannon, mounted machine gun.
- Weaknesses: Launchers, C4, frag grenades, mounted turrets, vehicle-mounted weapons.
- Strategy: APCs are heavily armored. Your primary weapons will do minimal damage. Use launchers or C4 to destroy them. If you have access to a vehicle with a mounted weapon (e.g., a tank or jeep with a turret), use that. Aim for the engine compartment if possible, as it's often a weak point. Use cover to avoid their main cannon fire.
Always be on the lookout for launchers or explosive equipment when you anticipate vehicle encounters. Prioritize taking out vehicles quickly, as they can suppress your team and deal massive damage.
