Zombies Mode Pack-a-Punch Guide
The Pack-a-Punch machine is an essential upgrade station in Black Ops II Zombies, allowing you to significantly boost your weapons' damage, magazine size, and often granting them unique properties. Mastering its activation and use is crucial for surviving high rounds.
General Pack-a-Punch Information
- Cost: Each weapon upgrade costs 5000 points.
- Benefits: Pack-a-Punching a weapon increases its damage output, often doubles its magazine capacity, and provides a new, usually more powerful, name. Some weapons also gain special effects, such as explosive rounds or increased penetration.
- Re-Pack: After an initial upgrade, you can re-Pack-a-Punch a weapon for another 5000 points. This will re-roll its special attachment (if applicable) and replenish its ammo.
Tranzit Map: Pack-a-Punch Activation Walkthrough
Activating the Pack-a-Punch machine on Tranzit is a multi-step process that requires careful coordination, especially in co-op. You'll need to power on the map, build the Turbine, and locate the hidden access point.
Step 1: Power On the Map
- Reach the Power Station: From the starting Bus Depot, take the bus to the Power Station. This is the third stop.
- Assemble the Power Switch:
- Locate the Power Switch Lever on the ground floor, usually near the entrance.
- Find the Power Switch Box, typically on a shelf or crate in the same area.
- Locate the Power Switch Handle, often on a barrel or table.
- Assemble these three parts at the workbench in the Power Station to activate the main power. This will open doors, power perk machines, and activate the Pack-a-Punch mechanism.
Step 2: Build and Deploy the Turbine
The Turbine is a buildable item crucial for powering various devices, including the Pack-a-Punch access point.
- Collect Turbine Parts: The Turbine can be built at any workbench, but the parts are often found in the Bus Depot or Diner.
- Mannequin: Often found in the Bus Depot, near the bus stop.
- Fan Blade: Frequently located in the Diner, on a table or booth.
- Tail Fin: Can be found in the Bus Depot or Diner, often near the Mannequin or Fan Blade.
- Assemble the Turbine: Take all three parts to a workbench (e.g., in the Bus Depot or Diner) and assemble the Turbine.
- Deploy the Turbine at the Power Station:
- Travel back to the Power Station.
- As you drop down into the main power room, look for an electrical symbol on the wall or floor.
- Place your assembled Turbine directly on this electrical symbol. The Turbine will generate power, opening a hidden access point to the Pack-a-Punch.
Step 3: Access and Assemble the Pack-a-Punch Machine
With the Turbine deployed, you can now access the Pack-a-Punch area.
- Travel to the Bank Vaults: From the Power Station, take the bus to the Town area (the last stop). The Bank is a prominent building here.
- Locate the Pack-a-Punch Entrance: Inside the Bank, directly across from the vault door, you will find a section of the floor that has opened due to the Turbine's power. This is your entrance to the Pack-a-Punch area.
- Assemble the Pack-a-Punch Machine:
- Drop down into the newly opened area.
- You will find the Pack-a-Punch machine disassembled. Collect the various parts scattered around the room.
- There are typically three parts to assemble: the Main Frame, the Crank Handle, and the Power Core. Their exact locations can vary slightly but are always within this small underground room.
- Assemble these parts at the central workbench in the Pack-a-Punch room.
- Upgrade Your Weapons: Once assembled, the Pack-a-Punch machine is ready for use. Approach it with 5000 points, interact with it, and place your desired weapon inside for an instant upgrade!
Strategy Tip: In co-op, one player can be responsible for deploying the Turbine at the Power Station while other players simultaneously head to the Bank to access the Pack-a-Punch area. This saves valuable time and allows for quicker upgrades.
