Your primary goal is to locate and assess the status of a missing Black Ops team. The urban environment is a labyrinth of destruction, offering both cover and numerous flanking opportunities for both you and the enemy. Leverage your Cyber Cores and combat prowess to navigate this hostile landscape.

Phase 1: Initial Infiltration and Street Clearing

Upon deployment, you'll find yourself in the war-torn streets of Cairo. The initial area will be heavily contested by various robotic and human adversaries. Your first priority is to secure the immediate vicinity and push towards the designated search zone.

• Enemy Composition: Expect a mix of A.S.P.s (Automated Sentry Platforms), standard Robotic Soldiers, and occasional Warlords. Human 61I (61st Infantry) operatives will also be present, often positioned on elevated platforms or behind heavy cover.
• Recommended Loadout:
  • Primary Weapon: An assault rifle like the Man-O-War or HVK-30 for versatile engagement ranges. Equip attachments like the Quickdraw Handle and Extended Mags.
  • Secondary Weapon: A high-damage pistol such as the L-CAR 9 for close-quarters emergencies.
  • Lethal: Frag Grenades for clearing entrenched enemies.
  • Tactical: Concussion Grenades to disorient robotic units and human soldiers.
• Tactical Approach:
  • Utilize your Tactical Rig's Vision Pulse or Cyber Core: Remote Hijack to identify enemy positions through cover. This is crucial for pre-empting ambushes.
  • Prioritize eliminating A.S.P.s first, as their sustained fire can quickly suppress your team. Aim for the glowing red core on their chassis.
  • For Robotic Soldiers, focus fire on their head or central processing unit (often a glowing blue or yellow panel).
  • Take advantage of the numerous destroyed vehicles and rubble for cover. Avoid open areas unless absolutely necessary.

Phase 2: Navigating the Market District

As you progress deeper, you'll enter a more confined market district. This area is notorious for close-quarters engagements and the introduction of heavier enemy units.

• Key Location: Look for a collapsed marketplace with distinctive red awnings and overturned stalls. This is a common ambush point.
• New Threat: Be prepared to encounter P.A.W.S. (Programmable Autonomous Weapons System) units. These heavily armored, quadrupedal robots are fast, agile, and possess devastating close-range weaponry.
• P.A.W.S. Strategy:
  • Focus Fire: Immediately concentrate all available firepower on the P.A.W.S. as soon as it appears. Its primary weak point is the glowing blue energy cell on its back, but sustained fire to its head or legs can also stagger it.
  • Cyber Core Counter: The Remote Hijack Cyber Core is exceptionally effective against P.A.W.S. units. Hijacking one can turn the tide of battle, as it will attack its former allies.
  • Explosives: Frag Grenades and Thermite Grenades (if equipped) are highly effective in stripping its armor and dealing burst damage.
  • Movement: Maintain constant movement to avoid its charge attacks and plasma bursts. Use the market stalls for temporary cover, but be aware they are destructible.
• Common Pitfall: Do not get cornered by a P.A.W.S. in the narrow market alleys. Always ensure you have an escape route.

Phase 3: Locating the Missing Team's Last Known Position

After clearing the market, your objective marker will guide you towards a partially destroyed building, which served as the missing team's last known position. Expect heavy resistance as you approach.

• Environmental Hazards: The building is structurally unstable. Watch for falling debris and use collapsed sections as cover or alternative routes.
• Enemy Reinforcements: Expect waves of Robotic Soldiers and 61I Snipers positioned on higher floors. Use your Vision Pulse to tag them before they can get a bead on you.
• Inside the Building:
  • Navigate through the debris-strewn corridors. You'll find signs of a struggle, including spent ammunition casings and damaged equipment.
  • Follow the blood trails and discarded gear. These will lead you to a specific room on the second floor.
  • Interaction Point: In the designated room, you will find a damaged data pad and a discarded Black Ops helmet. Interact with the data pad to download critical intel.

Phase 4: Intel Retrieval and Extraction Prep

Upon retrieving the intel, new enemy units will be deployed to prevent your extraction. This phase will test your ability to hold a position and manage multiple threats.

• New Enemy: The G.I.U. (Ground Infantry Unit), a heavily armored human soldier equipped with a powerful LMG, will be introduced. Target their head for critical damage or use explosives to bypass their heavy armor.
• Defensive Position: The game will prompt you to hold a specific choke point or rooftop. Establish a perimeter.
• Recommended Cyber Core:
  • Remote Hijack: Still invaluable for turning enemy robots against each other.
  • Firefly Swarm: Can provide excellent area denial against clusters of enemies.
  • Overdrive: Useful for quickly repositioning or escaping overwhelming odds.
• Loot and Rewards:

  Throughout this objective, keep an eye out for various pickups and rewards. These are often found near defeated elite enemies or in hidden corners.
