Information is power. Effectively using your minimap and listening for audio cues can give you a significant advantage over less aware opponents.
Minimap Mastery:
- Red Dots: Enemies firing unsuppressed weapons will appear as red dots on your minimap. Use this intel to predict enemy positions and push accordingly.
- UAVs: When a friendly UAV is active, all enemies (unless they have Ghost) will appear on your minimap. This is the most crucial intel. Push aggressively during friendly UAVs.
- Objective Markers: Always be aware of objective locations and enemy positions relative to them.
- Teammate Positions: Use your teammates' positions to anticipate enemy flanks or to coordinate pushes.
Sound Whore Strategies:
- Footsteps: With good audio settings (e.g., 'Headphones Bass Boost' or 'Boost High' audio mix), you can hear enemy footsteps. This is vital for anticipating pushes and holding angles.
- Reloads & Equipment: Listen for enemy reloads, equipment pulls (grenades, stuns), and Field Upgrade deployments. These sounds indicate vulnerability or an impending push.
- Directional Audio: Train your ears to pinpoint the direction of sounds. This takes practice but is incredibly rewarding.
- Covert Sneakers Perk: This perk muffles your footsteps, allowing you to flank silently and get the drop on enemies. Combine it with Bone Conduction Headset to hear them better while they can't hear you.
