Heavy Flamethrower Troopers are formidable enemies encountered in several campaign missions. They are heavily armored and wield devastating flamethrowers that can quickly incinerate you at close range. Their primary weakness is their fuel tank, typically located on their back. Strategy:
- Maintain Distance: Keep as much distance as possible to avoid their flamethrower's effective range.
- Flank and Target Weak Point: Try to get behind them to shoot the fuel tank on their back. This will cause a massive explosion, instantly killing them.
- Explosives: If flanking isn't an option, use grenades, sticky bombs, or launcher rockets. These can deal significant damage and often expose their weak point or cause them to stagger.
- Focus Fire: If you have no explosives or flanking opportunities, concentrate all your weapon fire on their head or chest. This will take longer but will eventually bring them down.
- Utilize Cover: Their flamethrower has a wide arc; use solid cover to block their attacks and reload safely.
Be aware that they often appear with supporting infantry, so clear out smaller threats first if possible.
